Is Smart Bud the New Norm: How Regular People are Getting Access to this Premium Weed

Cannabis, the substance that is driving everyone crazy, even politicians, is being talked about constantly.

The legalization of marijuana in New Jersey has been in the talks for a while now. So when is it actually going to happen?

According to NJ.com, if everything goes smoothly, the legalization would be sometime in 2021. So, if weed isn’t legal yet, how are people in New Jersey getting access to Smart Bud?

The black market is notorious for giving people access to illegal products. So, are people using the black market or is it simpler?

Smart Bud, the 100% organic substance that is based in California, has somehow made its way to social media with over 8,000 posts on Instagram tagged #smartbud. Most pages post products and put in the bio, ‘nothing for sale,’ but are the bios accurate?

I spoke to a few people on the East Coast who said they’re seeing Smart Bud pop up more and more. People aren’t smoking regular weed, but even if they shouldn’t have access to Smart Bud, isn’t it better, safer?

Aaliyah Cansler, a New Jersey resident says it is better for consumers.

Rather than people buying a random bag of weed from any person they know, or a dealer on the street, they’re able to buy bud that is sold in actual dispensaries, that is regulated — and apparently way more potent.

According to Cansler, people get access to Smart Bud at ‘weed parties.’

“I think most people are traveling up to New York and purchasing at what they call ‘weed parties’ where there are multiple vendors selling different brands and strands of weed,” said Cansler.

But how safe is it to buy at these ‘parties’? With the recent bust in Jersey City, police are not tolerating marijuana. According to the Asbury Park Press, almost half a million dollars worth of marijuana and marijuana products such as edibles, wax, vape oil and pre rolls were confiscated at a pop up. And you can’t forget 512 pre-packed Smart Bud cans.

This pop-up is similar to what Cansler describes, multiple people selling products and giving secret access to consumers, but according to APP, this is not the first pop-up there’s been.

They mentioned a similar one that occurred in Trenton that was promoted through social media to its consumers. Mike Davis, from APP, wrote an article covering this spot and he says the illegal marijuana industry is growing.

So, with the illegal industry growing and legalization on its way, why are people still getting thrown in jail for marijuana?

Not only are distributors giving their consumers access to quality, regulated weed, but weed is a substance that does no harm. So, why isn’t it legal yet?
